Rod Stewart & Faces
"The Final Concert"
Ivy Video

This concert might be a piece of musical history, but, I wasn't too impressed with it. On the back of the box, it states that this is "a chronicle of a super rock and roll show." Well, I think that's going a little too far. I mean, it's interesting to watch and, as far as the use of the word "super," well, maybe back then it was. But now, if a band came out and did a show like this, they wouldn't get very far. In my opinion, it was just too plain. Another line I have a problem with is that this is supposed to be a reminder of what Rod Stewart was once capable of. I'm sorry, but, some of his solo albums, singles and videos had more balls than this. There's also an appearance here by Keith Richards that I feel was hyped a bit too much as well. Plus, if I wanna nit pick, they spelled "spotlight" and "rock" wrong on the back of the box. I can sum up this release in four words...interesting, but not impressive.
