There might be other releases out there such as this. But, in all honesty, I've never seen one. So, first of all, I'd have to say that this was a rather unique and interesting DVD. It's part educational and part entertaining. There was a nice little feature that gave you an inside look as to how a drum kit was made. I never really thought about that before...and I'm sure many of you haven't either. It was cool to watch and, like they say, you learn something new each day. You also get to view Ian Paice behind the kit from the roadie's point of view. There's some studio stuff, which you can view in a few different ways, a photo gallery, a drum clinic and Ian's bio. There's a lot of clicking to do here. But, you'll probably find it all worth while in the end. There's also a bonus disc that comes with this release which you can pop into your CD player to check out. Studio stuff from the Abbey Road
sessions. Wasn't something I could really get into. But, I thought it was a nice addition to the package.
If you're a drummer and you wanna learn something from one of the best in the business, this is the release for you. Even if you're not a fan, you'll still walk away with some additional knowledge.
