Ozzy Osbourne "Double O"
(Trinity Home Entertainment)

By Paul Autry

When it comes to these unauthorized DVD's, first of all, you know there's no music on them. But, they usually make up with it with interview footage that's interesting to watch, even if it's something you've seen before. As far as this release goes, I expected something a lot better. I knew right off the bat this release wasn't gonna be all that when I saw the running time was only 42 minutes. You can't discuss Ozzy's life story in 42 minutes. 21 minutes for Black Sabbath...21 minutes for his solo career? Forget about Black Sabbath for a moment. Can you really know all there is to know about Ozzy in 21 minutes? I think not...and, hell, for being a DVD about Ozzy Osbourne's life story, there's actually very little footage about Ozzy to be found here. What they do show, they seem to repeat it over and over again. There's also a lot of scenes that have nothing to do with Ozzy Osbourne. What's the deal with that. I'll tell you the deal...it's unauthorized because they can slap Ozzy's picture on the cover, give you a bunch of information that you already know and make a few dollars out of it. It's kind of like the re-release of the "Trick Or Treat" DVD. They've slapped Ozzy's picture on the cover, as well as Gene Simmons, in order to make it seem like it's their movie, even though there screen time is about five minutes if not less. People who aren't familiar with the movie will buy it thinking they're getting an Ozzy Osbourne/Gene Simmons movie. If you saw the "Behind The Music," you don't need to see this release. Only buy it if you're a die hard fan who must have everything with Ozzy's name on it.
