Well,
considering the fact that I'm a huge Kiss fan, I was looking forward
to writing a review on this release. But, it's not something I'm gonna
praise just because I'm totally into the band. You're gonna get an honest
write up here.
First of all, if you're a Kiss fan/collector, the title of this release
will already tell you what you need to know about it. Since it's an
unauthorized release, that means that the band had nothing to do with
it and they had no say as to what was included here. So, what that means
is that everything that featured on this release is already out there
in circulation. We've seen it all before. But, for the average fan who's
not into the whole bootleg scene, there's stuff on here that would be
interesting for you to see.
This release is put together like a magazine and there's no real time
line for what you're watching. It's a collection of interviews thrown
together as a sort of bio of the band so to speak. Kind of a backstage
look at the band at various times in their career. This release is interesting
because the spotlight is on Peter Criss, by way of an old television
interview and Vinnie Vincent at a Kiss convention. It's not all Gene
and Paul this time around, let's put it that way. There's no musical
recordings by Kiss featured on this release and the only other feature
is a picture gallery which is set up as a slideshow, which I thought
was rather cool.
Bottom line, this release is for the hardcore Kiss fan. I'm sure some
of you already have the interviews that are featured on this program.
But, the quality is probably a lot better on this DVD than on your bootleg
video that you paid an arm and a leg for. So, I would suggest purchasing
this release to upgrade your collection.
