Written By: Paul Autry Okay...let's get right to the point. First of all, there's nothing too special to be found on this release as far as anything extra is concerned. There's an animated menu that gives you the Doro biography and discography. Plus, when you're done watching this release, you flip it over, pop it in your CD player and you can listen to it as well. Now that's a pretty cool feature if I do say so myself. As far as the video, you get a 1985 show that was recorded at the Camden Palace in London. Some of you might be disappointed by the date because...and some of you will know this...the material featured on this release is before the "Triumph & Agony" album, which was the ultimate Warlock release in my opinion. So, yeah, there's no "All We Are" or "Metal Tango" or "Touch Of Evil" to be found here. Once you get over that, you're treated to a fabulous performance that's all about the music. Warlock, at least from what I've seen here, has a somewhat plain stage show. Nothing fancy...a few lights, some smoke, that's about it. It's the music that does the talking here and it speaks in volumes. It's got a very 80's feel to it, obviously, and it's got the look as well. But, you know what...if you really pay attention and you really listen to the music, it still sounds fresh and important today. I don't care what anyone else thinks, Doro Pesch is the one true "Queen Of Heavy Metal." Lita Ford, Pat Benatar, Courtney Love and anyone else you can think of...they can't touch her. She rises above them all and blows them all away. Even back in 1985, as this show will show you, Doro Pesch had what it takes to make you stand up and pay attention and she still has what it takes. Anyone who has heard her "Calling The Wild" CD can tell you that much. Awesome release from an awesome performer. A worthy addition to the "Legends Of Rock" series. Hopefully next time they'll capture some of the "Triumph & Agony" material. But, for now, this release is sure to entertain you for hour after hour after hour...and so on and so forth. http://www.classicpictures.co.uk
