Hard Vision

"Eerie Midnight Horror Show"
by Paul Autry

The original title of this film was "The Sexorcist." That might explain why it comes off like a low budget version of "The Exorcist" with a little sex thrown into the mix to give it a little flavor. The movie features Stella Carnacina as a woman who gets sexually assaulted by a 15th century satanic entity, who happened to be nailed to a cross for God knows how long. She wakes up thinking it was all a dream. But, as you can imagine, it wasn't a dream. Sex with a demon can only lead to one thing...possession. This possession drives her to fornicate herself with her fingers and she tries to get busy with her father and a priest. Stella's a natual beauty. However, when they throw her demon make up on, she looks more like a woman who caught a STD of the mouth from going oral on the devil one too many times. Ah, yes, at least we get to see her boobs. We also get to see Lucretia Love, who plays her mother, totally naked, which was the real high point in this film. It's a kinky sex scene where she's getting whipped by her lover with a bunch of roses. You get to see a little bush, which is cool because this woman was hot and it gave me a good reason to watch this film more than once. Other than the all too brief nude scenes, there's really not a lot about this film that impressed me. The sound quality was lame and I don't think there was a single scene where the dialogue matched what the characters were saying and there were some times when the sound totally crapped out. It was like watching a video tape that got eaten in the VCR a time or two. The movie has a rather slow pace and, well, it's an 86 minute hunk of cheese.

Now, I admire some of the low budget stuff that's out there. Hell, I own Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Hercules In New York" on DVD. But, this one does nothing for me. It's a release that only the true collector will appreciate.
