W.A.S.P.

Anger must bring out the best in Blackie Lawless because this is one
hell of an album and, if you read the liner notes, Blackie is, as he
states, "fucking-a-mad!" The opening track, "Shadow Man," is an instant
W.A.S.P. classic and it sticks with you from the moment you hear it.
From this point on, W.A.S.P. goes deeper into their subject matter.
"Trail Of Tears" deals with indian heritage, "Black Bone Torso" is, as
Blackie said in the liner notes, a somewhat abstract view of the
current
Catholic church scandal, "My Wicked Heart" is pretty self explanatory,
"Hallowed Ground" is what Blackie wrote after seeing Ground Zero with
his own eyes and I think the songs "Hell For Eternity," Revengeance"
and
"Stone Cold Killers" are truly those songs that you could go out and
kill people with...read the liner notes for the explanation, it's not
what you think. Hell, it's pretty patriottic if you ask me. I thought
"Unholy Terror" was a good release, a few songs really stood out for
me.
But, "Dying For The World" blows it away. I think the song for which
that album was named after, "Unholy Terror," would have fit in better
on
this release because, in my opinion, "Dying For The World" seems to be
a
continuation of that song...on a much more dangerous level. Blackie's
got the venom in his voice and he's armed to the teeth with aggression
and that, my dear readers, makes for a killer fucking release and
that's
just what "Dying For The World" is...and you can take that to the bank.
