This thirteen song release is straight forward, heavy aggression with a
lot of groove. The vocal style has a Metallica meets hardcore vibe to
it, which is really cool...and you can understand the lyrics, which is
always a plus in my book. There's almost fourty minutes worth of music
to take in and pretty much every song sticks with you after a single
listen. It's one of those rare releases where the band has clearly
found
their sound and while each song may sound the same, you go through 'em
once and, after that, you'll know which one is which. Kind of like an
AC/DC album if you think about it. Superkollider is the kind of band
that I would like to see at a Spinebelt show. Different musical style,
of course, but, they've got that same all out, high energy, kick your
teeth down your throat quality about them. A highly recommended
release.
There's a few stand out tracks here, but, the real treasure here is
"Mean." It's an instant metal classic and it's the tune that will
probably stick with you the most. Other tunes worthy of a mention are
"Resolution" and "Transmission."
