Undercroft
"Evilusion"
(Crash Music, Inc)

By Angela/Skullcrusher

Undercroft comes from Chile's underground. This trio bring us a nice thrash/death mix done in the 'old style', lots of moshable parts. Guitar riffs & rhythms reminiscent of old Sepultura. Vocals are hard death style, I particularly like; "The Cartomancer", "Sub Race", "Temples of Carrion", "Bridges to Melissa"**-vocals very black metallish on this song-a definite plus, in total eleven mid-paced thrash based tunez. This is Undercroft's fourth full-length release; "Twisted Souls"-'95, "Re-Demoltion" '97-includes a re-edition of both demos & a bonus cover of Napalm Death's "Bonebreaker", "Danza Macabra"-2000, & lastly, "Evilusion"-2002. This album was produced by Daniel Bergstrand (producer of Meshuggah & Lord Belial), & Undercroft. Undercroft flew to Europe to record "Evilusion" at Dug Out Productions in Uppsala, Sweden. Overall, nice effort put out by Undercroft & I look forward to hearing future releases by them. www.pavementmusic.com www.undercroft.cl
