Step Kings
"3 The Hard Way"
(We Put Out Records)

By Paul Autry

I think I like this release more that the previous effort that I reviewed from this band. It's got a good sound, it's heavy and there's some variety from track to track, which is something I always tend to appreciate. This release, at least to me, has a very live feel to it. It's got that good studio sound quality that we, as the buying public, tend to expect from bands in this day and age. But, as you go through the songs on this release, it's almost like you're attending a live show. Only difference here is you don't hear the audience...just the band. This is a jam record, man, that's what it is. This is the sort of release that you put on when you just wanna rock out. Stand out tracks include "3 The Hard Way," "California" and "Younglife Crisis." http://www.stepkings.com
