I haven't followed-up on this Swedish band ever since their Listenable
Records debut in 1998, "Steel Bath Suicide" and I'm sorry I didn't
since
the music direction changed and gotten so much better. The other
releases prior to this one were "The Chainheart Machine" and "The
Predator's Portrait" which were solid according to the press. "NBC" is
just that...SOLID! 10 tracks of newer Carcass style meets In Flames,
Amorphis and some SYL which is actually ironic as I just read here that
Devin Townsend is involved with the release...that's definately a good
thing since this guy is a pure genius in my book. This particular
release holds that euphoric and atmospheric style Physicist and SYL are
well-known for and just add dueling solos, chunky riffs with great
songwriting and you got one of the 5 best Metal releases so far this
year. I think I need to go buy the other 2 to complete the collection.
