Smackhead |

These guys are really not much more than a bunch of Alice In Chains
soundalikes. Their singer sounds almost identical to Layne Staley, and
their guitarist's playing style is very similar to Jerry Cantrell's
(although, to be fair, the Smackhead axe slinger doesn't do a bad job).
There are even a couple of songs on this four-track CD that remind me
of
some of Alice In Chains' classics. The second song, "Generation",
sounds a lot like "Dam The River", and the last one, "Matter Of Time",
reminded me of "Down In A Hole" and "Rooster". Smackhead are not bad as
musicians, but they are plagiarizing Alice In Chains in a big way here!
This has got to stop! A more original approach is definitely in order!
Besides, Alice In Chains are last month's flavor! Sorry, but I can't
really find a lot to rave about here
