Lock Up |

With the precision of a jack hammer, Britain's Lock Up are back. This
is
good news for those of us who like our metal as intense as humanly
possible. The first song "Feeding on the Opiate" storms through, racing
like a grindcore anthem. It slams into the second song, "Castrate the
Wreckage" which, in turn, morphs into "Violent Reprisal". I realized
that the whole theme of this CD seems to be a continual trip as if I'm
sitting in a blender on high speed. There is no letting up. There are
no
breaks, there are no seconds to catch one's breath. Forget it, you
can't
fight the force. It's like being caught in a riptide; you can't swim
out
of it, you must give in and let it take you where it will, for Lock Up
is more powerful than you or
I. But could you expect anything less, with Nick Barker, Peter
(Lindberg
on the album) Tatgren, Jesse Pintado and Shane Embury? I think not.
