Enter My Silence

This CD blew me away for weeks when I got it. Very potent Crack-Up-ish
metal, but with more attention to inserting progressive metal elements
to break up the aggressive vocalist growling. How easy it would have
been, as a reviewer, to chalk this release up as a nothing more than a
tribute. Unfortunately, tracks like "Irrelevant" and "Split" too much
of
a musical journey. The powerful crunchy of the bass on "Mindfill
Effect"
grooves like only a death metal band really can. Yes, groove and death
metal. There's no blast beats, the vocalist doesn't growl in the
grindcore style, and the guitars are constructing riffs. This band,
along with bands like Diabolical and Hypnos and even Mork Gryning, are
part of a new breed of death metal that is putting musicianship into
the
genre
