Theater - In spite of the silly title, this is a blasting assault on the eardrums. I remember December Wolves first CD, and I really liked it, so I looked forward to Blasterpiece Theater. This is even faster and more ripping!!! "Desperately Seeking Satan" begins after a brief piece from what I think is a horror movie. It?s true, movie sound bytes are overused in metal. In fact, there should be a complete moratorium on movie sound bytes for at least a year. But, don?t let that distract you, for the entire Blasterpiece Theater is an amazing work. And, after a while the bytes grew on me. "Do Not Entry" is another incredible piece. I love "Porn Again Christians". Who wouldn?t love a song titled that? This CD combines great waves of black metal, commanding vocals, a little thrash, roaring guitars, the blood-soaked taste of death metal, and a bit of humor thrown in. Everything is tied together by unbelievably great drumming. And, after enjoying "Solid Gold Beating" and "Sharing Needles" I ask: what?s wrong with laughing at the idiots in our world?
