Twisted Tower Dire
"The Isle Of Hydra"
(Miskatonic)

By Paul Autry

Okay, you've gotta wonder about the band name. But, the one thing you don't have to worry about is the music, which can be described with a single word...METAL! For those of you who desire a label, I guess you could place the "power metal" tag on this band because, let's face it, that's what their nine song album is full of. They kind of remind you of bands like Manowar and Iron Maiden. You know, they have this huge sound that washes over you like a tidal wave. A lot of the music that I've heard in this vein has come from other countries. So, it's good to see that an American band is keeping this style alive and well. There's absolutely no way a band such as Twisted Tower Dire can be ignored. Their music is just screaming to be heard and once the masses get a chunk of this in their ear, well, if they don't go deaf, they'll sure as hell get some high quality musical entertainment out of "The Isle Of Hydra." http://www.truemetal.org/twistedtowerdire
