Reading the press sheet and popping this CD into my player made me soon agree with the mentioned likenesses of Dismember meets Meshuggah. If I were to add anything, it would be Pygenesis,newer Carcass and Amorphis in the "Elegy" era. The Swedish band has been around for 6 years and released a debut called "Stormchoirs" but never made it over here in the U.S.. A good thing Candlelight has been busy with import reissues, sought after releases and bands; Skymning is a hell of an addition to the roster. If you like excellent musicmanship and creative songwriting with layers of heaviness,loops,samples and bizarre ideas, this band is guaranteed to please! www.candlelightrecords.co.uk
