Pandemic
"Angry Sky"
(dbAggressive Records)

By Paul Autry

Twelve songs of heavy, guitar crunch aggression with some groove thrown in for good measure. I might be a tad off base here, but, for some reason, this band reminds me of Ozzy in a way. Probably more for the music...it's got some Ozzy quality to it. But, for the most part, I would have to say that Pandemic is original because, yes, they're doing a style of music that's been done before and there's nothing on here that you haven't heard before. I just can't seem to find anyone that I can compare them to and that's always a good thing. The bands that do come to mind, it's only because of certain things that I've heard in the music. Besides Ozzy, I thought of Living Color and some local bands that I have in my collection, stuff you probably never heard of...unless, of course, you're a loyal reader of Ballbuster Magazine. Anyway, "Angry Sky" is a release that will please all those who like heavy music. It's as simple as that. There's a lot of good material to be found on this release and, when you listen to it as a whole, it's much more enjoyable. You'll hear about this band more in the future, you can count on that. http://www.pandemicmusic.com
