Earshot
"Letting Go"
(Warner Brothers)

By Paul Autry

I don't pay attention to a lot of the national labels because they haven't been putting out music that I can get into. I'm used to hearing a lot of bands that sound the same or, to say it better, I'm used to hearing the current "trends," whatever's popular, you know? Earshot, on the other hand, is worth paying attention to because, first of all, they sound fresh and, on top of that, they're heavy enough to please all you hard rock, headbangers out there. Most of the album has memorable songs, tunes that stick with you after you hear them...and that's always a good sign. "Letting Go" is a solid album through and through and, hopefully, the buying public will catch on to it because it's a great album and it would be a shame to see this one fall through the cracks. Earshot just gave you a good reason to go into your local record store and spend a few dollars...so, get going!   http://www.wbr.com
