Illinois still cranking out the bands and another 3-song taster from
this 4-piece which offers the fans free copies of their work by jumping
on their website. The band itself began in '96 as a 2-piece and
eventually a trio in '98 with Mark Anderson (guitar) and drummer Jerry
"J.J." Romero (the founding members) with bassist Bret Basick; they
toured and recorded as a 3-piece until early 2001 when they recruited
vocalist, Eric Chez into the fold. The band continues to amaze me as
well as mature with their songwriting and good use of vocals. The music
balances the heavy to melodic idea with great rhythms, leadwork and
harmonized backing vocals with a bit of aggression; sort of like taking
Sevendust and slamming them into a wall of King's X. The only thing to
make me happier is this band doing an actual full-length sometime soon
instead of all these little tasters that tease the hell out of you!
