Voodoo lounge power pop, huh? That's what Box Of Stuff calls their
style
of music and, hey, who am I to argue with them. I've gotta admit,
there's a lot of style found on this recording, some of which didn't
exactly float my boat. But, yeah, I've gotta give 'em credit for being
original. As I cruise through the twelve tracks on this release, I came
across stuff like reggae/ska pop, some alternative, some stuff that
reminds me of The Police. The stuff that caught my attention though was
the heavier stuff such as "See Go Down," "Sanctuary" and "Walk In
Addiction," all good stuff. The final track, "Every Drop Of Life" is a
nice little acoustic number. Maybe not the best way to end a disc, but,
it's a cool song, so, why complain. All in all, I believe people who
have a love of music will appreciate this release for the variety. Box
Of Stuff doesn't give you an album filled with the same kind of songs.
They give you something different and that's always a plus in my book.
