M.O.B.
|
| By
Paul Autry M.O.B. is a Swedish band that's in the same vein as Kiss, Mr. Big
and Warrant. Yes, it's melodic, 80's influenced rock 'n' roll. Sure, I'll
be the first to admit that there isn't anything on here that you
haven't heard before. But, like I've said in the past...you don't always have
to create something new and original to be a good band. You just need to
be good at what you do and you have to be able to stand out and rise
above everyone else out there. Well, M.O.B. might not rank up there as one
of your all time favorite bands. But, for those of you who enjoy this
style of music, they're a band that, once you hear them, they're not
gonna fade from your memory anytime soon. I don't know if this will make
any sense to you, but, think of it this way, they'll compliment the
"bigger" releases you might have in your collection. Know what I mean?
Listening to this release, I can hear why they've been compared to the
above mentioned bands. But, the thing with M.O.B. is that they've managed
to create their own sound. As far as the production goes, this nine
song album has somewhat of a raw sound...and I don't mean that in a bad
way. I think it would be safe to say that what this band does on stage
could be heard on this release. If I'm correct in saying that, well, the
band has done a very good job of letting you know what they're all about.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the kind of music that got most of us
into rock 'n' roll in the first place. It's loud, it's got a lot of
energy and it's fun. What more could you possibly ask for? Well worth
checking out if I do say so myself. If you don't add it to your
collection, you'll never know what your missing. http://www.mobrockz.com
