Himsa
"Death is Infinite"
(Revelation Records)

By Vinnie Apicella

No secrets to uncover about this band-four songs, blinding speed, highly technical and with a level of aggression to match, Himsa, varied meanings that all arrive back to the core of violence, suits them perfectly. With no hidden agenda, they "expel their disgust through they're music and cleanse their existence" as one band member quoted and there's little evidence to the contrary. This short but effective EP rooted in Emo-Core and pure noise, serves as a precursor to their forthcoming full length in early 2002 which if this is any indication, listeners may do well to call their insurance brokers and make their plans well in advance.
