3rd Man In
"Forget What You Know"
(AVD)

By Paul Autry

Here's a real easy one to talk about. A five song CD that sounds like raw, garage style punk music. Now, when I say punk, I mean it's closer to what you and I know as REAL punk music. Tunes that bop along at their own frantic pace. Straight forward, in your face and highly energetic. You only get about seventeen minutes worth of music here, which may or may not hurt the band. If this disc happens to catch on and create a buzz, people are gonna want more than what's found on this recording. Also, the packaging is the same way, very straight forward. Black and white CD cover with the lyrics on the inside (that's always a plus in my book). I get the impression that the whole point here is...hey, try this on for size, see what you think. No hype, no bullshit...let the music do the talking. They're giving you the band just as they are and they're letting you decide, based on what you hear, if it's cool or not and, for the most part, I think people will end up digging 3rd Man In. But, those people are gonna be asking for more rather quick. That's what I think. http://www.avdrecords.com
