"Republic?"
(Candlelight)

In Music We Trust called "Synchronized," the 3rd album from Canada's Sheavy "more dominant and distinguishable than ever before." With the band's long awaited return, the 4 piece are gearing up for a demanding year.

Three years in the making, "Republic?" was produced by Billy Anderson (High On Fire, Orange Goblin, Melvins) and is surely the band's strongest recording to date. With plans in the works for their anticipated return to the US touring circut, "Republic?" will prove to be one of the band's busiest and most formidable periods of activity since their formation in 1993.

Compared in sound to labelmates Orange Goblin, Fu Manchu and others, Sheavy (featuring crooner Steve Hennessey, guitarist Dan Moore, bassist Keith Foley and drummer Ren Squires) have impressed with their Sabbath meets psychedelic sounds. Signed to Rise Above Records (the label owned by Cathedral's Lee Dorian) in 1996, their three records for the UK based label have found a growing worldwide audience.
