Since the bands inception in 1989, Farside has evolved from their Orange County, CA punk/hardcore roots to become one of the most respected and acclaimed groups on the indie circut.

With the success of their first two full length releases, "Rochambeau" and "Rigged," as well as their most recent self titled EP, Farside continues their tradition of talented songwriting with "The Monroe Doctrine." Their diverse mixture of punk, post punk, indie rock and pop melodies is certainly a progression for the band, but it, definitely still sounds like Farside. "It's absolutely the best record we've ever done," says vocalist/guitarist Popeye. "If anything, we've gotten more vague."

Farside has proven to be one of noteworthiness and respectability, and "The Monroe Doctrine" is their newest and most commanding chapter.
