Fans of cerebral, aggressive music acts like Tool and A Perfect Circle will most certainly be enamored by the New York-based, hard progressive quartet eve to adam. Auburn Slip, the debut CD from eve to adam., is loaded with raw energy. Vocalist Taki Sassaris, guitarist Gaurav Bali, bassist AJ Pappas and drummer Alex Sassaris are releasing Auburn Slip independently on their own Mikendra Records label, which is being distributed by Shelter Music Group through Caroline Distribution. The Sassaris brothers, Bali and Pappas decided to release Auburn Slip themselves in order maintain complete creative control over their music. The 11 songs on Auburn Slip -- "Into," "Matador," "Find Yourself Another," "Memorial Day," "Birthmark," "World Between My Hands," "Peel," "Red Door," "Disgrace," "All the Same" and "Abandon" -- have been given new life thanks to the remixing work of John Travis, who has collaborated with Kid Rock, Buckcherry and Sugar Ray. Taki Sassaris is the visionary force behind eve to adam., which has worked with songwriter Desmond Child and successfully opened for Motley Crue and Scorpions on the Maximum Rock tour in 1999 -- without even having released a CD! Significant buzz has been building on eve to adam. in the New York region. Extensive regional touring is planned prior to the release of Auburn Slip, and eve to adam.'s road onslaught will continue in earnest after the CD hits the streets on July 24th.
