Nonpoint has been the brainchild of drummer Rob Rivera, whose Latin-influenced drumming was brought together with the tripped sound of guitarist Drew, the funkadelic bass sound provided by K.B., the tight heavy rhythm support provided by Dan and the emotional, yet intimidating voice of Elias. All of these unique personalities strewn together create the sound that has, and will become, that of Nonpoint and theirs alone. With the lineup finalized in 1997, the unit earned spots on bills supporting the likes of Coal Chamber, Machine Head, Incubus, Snot, Voivod, Biohazard, Crisis, Pro-Pain, Stuck Mojo and Testament. While gigging locally to establish a solid foundation of fans, Nonpoint was signed to Conquest Music's "Jugular Records" label. The result is their debut album, "Struggle," a 12-song affair that deals with the realities of life. E-mail: conrecords@aol.com |
